Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The situation we are going through is unprecedented and raises many questions about the impacts of COVID-19 on our mandates. In these challenging moments, we wish to remain present for our clients and communicate transparently on the subject.
For your information, we have prepared a FAQ section, which will be updated regularly as the situation evolves.
Is SOM continuing its operations?
Yes, we have put in place all the necessary measures to maintain our activities and to respond to the various requests of our clients.
What is the impact on consumer research?
Respondent cooperation remains excellent. The transition to working from home caused some delays, but we have now regained control of the situation.
What is the impact on B to B research?
Several B to B projects continue to move forward. The situation is assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature of the study and the sector of activity.
Should an ongoing study be continued?
With a few exceptions, yes. Companies that communicate with their customers or employees will be able to better respond to the crisis and adjust their actions accordingly. We recommend, however, that a special mention be added to the introduction of the questionnaires with respect to COVID-19. Rest assured that each project is analyzed on a case-by-case basis and that SOM is there to support you, whatever your decision. In the current context, it is preferable to avoid continuing a study that should be postponed or cancelling an ongoing study that has no reason to be.
Is this a good time to start a study among the general public?
Yes, because respondents are still collaborating very well. But of course, it depends on the topic. Each request will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis and a reduced fee may apply.
Are the results of studies conducted in recent weeks valid?
It all depends on the objectives of the study, the aspects measured and the date of completion. If necessary, a special mention will be added to the methodology and the interpretation of certain results could be modified.
